ESD Foam

The ESD foam not only dissipates static electricity, it is also soft and does not scratch the surface. Thanks to these two features, it can be used for:

• production of ESD packaging and inserts, which are used in the packaging and distribution of electronic devices,
• lining workplaces where electronic devices are packed or installed,
• production of anti-static wristbands for employees to dissipate the charge accumulated in their bodies,
• relocation and separation of stored devices.

Many electronic devices, especially those containing integrated circuits, are highly prone to electrostatic discharge, i.e. sudden and momentary flow of current. In most cases, they are imperceptible to humans, but in more sensitive cases, electronic devices may cause more frequent failures or even a complete failure. The use of ESD foam reduces the occurrence of discharges, ensuring the safety of electronic devices that are prepared for shipment or storage.

Additionally, it should be noted that the miniaturization of systems and components in electronics is progressing at a galloping pace. Unfortunately, this favors more serious damage from electrostatic discharge, which can lead to large financial losses. Therefore, ESD foam is basically indispensable in the production and distribution of electronic devices today.

We manufacture, among others, suitcase inserts and protective packaging. Especially for your order, we will make inserts for packaging or suitcases that will perfectly match the shapes and sizes of your electronic devices. Before starting production, we use CAD programming to create an accurate 3D model of the packaging. After your approval, we start production using modern, precise CNC machine tools. Depending on the size and weight of your devices, we will use the appropriate density of ESD foam so that its strength is at a sufficient level. At PFS, we offer ESD foams in pink and black.
